Ever wish you have a more guilt-free snacking experience? Well, here’s one delicious alternative for you. Oreo will be releasing gluten-free cookies, available in its regular classic black and white and Double Stuff varieties. The brand new cookies will be permanent additions to Oreo’s portfolio.
A brand representative told Today Food that “the product and ingredients have a GFCO certification, which will be clearly labeled on all packs.” Having a Gluten Free certification (GFCO) confirms that a food product meets the required standards for being safely regarded as gluten-free.
“Oreo is always looking to expand our product portfolio to meet the needs of our fans and welcome more people to enjoy the playfulness of Oreo cookies,” the representative continued. “With the addition of the new line, Oreo invites snack-lovers with a gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivities to enjoy our cookies too, while preserving the unique Oreo experience fans love.”
Oreo’s gluten-free cookies will be in stores in January 2021.
