Vice President Leni Robredo’s office is seeking to distribute 100,000 reusable cloth face masks to communities and sectors affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Robredo said her office received another batch of 20,000 cloth face masks from Team Pilipinas for distribution as part of the #MasKampante project.
“Kasalukuyan na nating ipinamamahagi ang mga ito sa locally stranded individuals (LSIs) at mga komunidad na nangangailangan (We are currently giving them to locally stranded individuals and communities in need),” she said in a Facebook post.
The vice president was grateful to the group for being part of their COVID-19 response operations.
“Malaking bagay po ang inyong pakikiisa (Your participation is a big help),” Robredo said of Team Pilipinas.
As of Thursday, the #MasKampante initiative so far raised 60,000 reusable face masks for distribution.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) previously handed over these face masks to frontliners, LSIs, and street dwellers in Metro Manila.
Robredo’s office tapped local sewers in Rizal, Bulacan, Marina, and Laguna to produce the masks to give them livelihood during the health crisis.
