TNT KaTropa’s Jayson Castro bagged the Best Player of the Conference award while Terrence Jones received the Best Import plum before Game 4 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Castro beat San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo and rookies Ray Parks Jr. of Blackwater, Robert Bolick of NorthPort and CJ Perez of Columbian to win his fifth career BPC.
Jones, on the other hand, took Best Import honors over Barangay Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee and San Miguel’s Chris McCullough to become the fifth player in Pepsi/TNT franchise history to capture the award.
Castro and Jones were responsible for leading the KaTropa to their first finals appearance since the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup and entered Sunday’s game up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
