Various portions of major roads in the metropolis will undergo road repair activities over the weekend as part of the long-term rehabilitation project on Metro Manila highways.

In an advisory, the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) announced that some parts of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue and Circumferential Road-5, and several roads in Quezon City will be subjected to weekend road reblocking and repairs.

Reblocking activities, according to DPWH-NCR Director Ador Canlas, will cover the areas of EDSA, specifically the southbound directions from fronting Guzent Construction Sales and Rental, second lane from sidewalk; and from Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop, outer lane.

Also included in the scheduled road works are the portions from before Aurora Boulevard, outermost lane; and from Aurora Boulevard to Arayat Street, innermost lane.

The northbound direction from before General Roxas Avenue to after Aurora Boulevard, first and second lane from sidewalk, intermittent section, will be covered.

Further, road reblocking activities will also be implemented at the following roads in Quezon City: southbound direction of Katipunan Avenue from after Aurora Flyover to P. Tuazon Boulevard, truck lane; at the eastbound direction of General Luis Street near Banahaw Street; at the westbound direction of Quirino Highway from Kingfisher Street to Primerose Street, first lane from sidewalk; and from Regalado Avenue fronting SM Fairview, second lane from sidewalk.

Other roads to undergo road repair works are: northbound directions of C-5 fronting SM Aura and Market Market, inner lane; and España Boulevard from Don Quijote to Ma. Cristina Street.

The road repair activities on various roads will start at 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, Canlas said.
