“Today, June 11, we received the positive swab test results of two of our service providers at Power Plant Mall,” the mall’s management said.

Power Plant Mall said Patient 1 was designated at the R1 Level Mall Expansion North female bathroom, while Patient 2 was assigned as a roving guard in the mall’s R3 Level.

Both patients have been isolated and are asymptomatic, according to the mall’s management.

The mall meanwhile assured its patrons that both patients “had no high-risk contacts” with any customer and tenant staff “due to the nature of their posts.”

“All those identified to have close contact with them among their colleagues have tested negative in the rapid test,” it added.

The Power Plant Mall said it has also sanitized all the areas where the patients have gone through and have scheduled a “total disinfection” of the mall.

“It is in our best interest to proactively monitor the health condition of all employees as we will not have known any positive cases without testing,” it said.

“While the (rapid antibody test) process may not be 100% accurate, it serves as a guide for us to determine if further testing is needed to detect COVID-19. Also, rapid testing allows us to flag those who may be positive but asymptomatic, sooner rather than later, which helps in reducing the risk of infection,” the mall added.
