Two suspected drug dealers were arrested by joint anti-drug operatives in a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Saturday night, yielding over P68 million worth of shabu.
The suspects were identified as Mia Bianca Atendido, 22; and Dave Tajores Realin, 21.
Investigation showed that the operation was launched at around 8:30 in the evening along Apelo Cruz Street corner EDSA, Barangay 151- 16, Malibay, Pasay City in front of Philtranco Bus Terminal.
Joint anti-drug operatives consisting of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Pasay City Police were able to purchase P800,000 worth of illegal drugs from the suspect that resulted to their arrest.
Authorities seized 10 kilos of suspected metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated street value of P68 million.
Confiscated drugs were turned over to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis while the arrested suspects are temporarily detained at the Station Custodial Facility for proper disposition.
SPD Director Brig. General Nolasco Bathan said that this accomplishment was a result of their continuous campaign to end illegal drugs in the Southern Metro. He congratulated the operatives for a job well done.
