Vivo is making it easy for Filipinos to take selfies and photos like a pro through the elevated camera functions of its latest phone, V15 Pro.
In a trip to the island of Boracay, the newcomer is put to a test.
V15 Pro’s star feature, the 32-megapixel selfie camera popping up from inside the phone’s frame, is just as impressive as it looks. What users get with its advanced beautification features and portrait lighting effects are refined yet natural-looking self-portraits that need minimal to no editing.
The motorized front camera also gives way to a wider, fuller, and more seamless display screen.
The V15 Pro, easily dubbed as a photography phone, also has three rear cameras with artificial intelligence function: a 48-megapixel main sensor in f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens in f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor in f/2.4 aperture.
This means that photos, whether taken during the height of day or depth of night, are always with the right amount of color, brightness, and clarity.
Also worth noting is the broader field of view—120 degrees, to be exact—that the ultra-wide angle lens can cover. It captures more of Boracay’s picturesque sights like its famed sunset, pictured above. The photo quality is not far from what the main lens can produce, too, as details and color is still decent enough.
While it’s true that AI functions are not new to smartphones, Vivo V15 Pro’s are not limited to the face. Its signature AI body-shaping feature allows users to adjust aspects of the body such as the head, shoulders, waist and legs without the use of separate photo-editing applications.
The night camera easily captures the island’s vibrant night life, too. The phone’s AI Super Night Mode works to capture photos at different exposures and combine them to achieve the best possible brightness and clarity.
Regardless of how long and eventful adventures can be, users can take as much pictures as they want without worrying about space. V15 Pro has an 8-gigabyte built-in storage.
The Vivo V15 Pro is a photography phone with features that allow image production in one unit—without the bulk, without the weight, and all the ease in taking photos.
Vivo V15 Pro in Topaz Blue and Coral Red are now available online and in stores. It retails for P23,999.
