When Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Lea Salonga announced their return as coaches on “The Voice Kids” 2019, many noticed the exclusion of Sharon Cuneta in the lineup.
In the 3rd kiddie edition of the ABS-CBN reality-based singing competition aired in 2016, the Megastar was one of the coaches and she even brought Antonette Tismo to the grand finals.
In a recent Instagram post, a netizen asked Sharon why she is not part of the judges’ panel this year.
Admitting she has a tendency to become too attached to the kids, the singer-actress pointed out that being a coach causes too much stress for her.
“I cannot stand the stress kasi. I become so attached to the kids and it weighs heavily on my heart pag kailangan na mag-eliminate. Nung May ko pa sinabi kay Mr. M yon,” she said, referring to Johnny Manahan, the founder of Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent arm.
Still, Sharon said fans have a lot to expect from her in the coming months. She is currently preparing for her upcoming movie, as well as her concert with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
