A group that discovered and nurtured models, performers and world renowned beauty queens offers regular classes for dance, modelling, pageant coaching, and, now, a series of workshops for personal and professional growth.
Empire Exclusives aims to inspire its participants to continuously work on their self-actualization and fulfillment with in-depth and comprehensive four to five hour classes. The first course is Poise, Posture and Walking on Aug. 24 and 25 with queen-maker Jonas Gaffud, who discovered and trained Pia Wurtzbach, Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup, Ara Arida, Janine Tugonon and Megan Young.
The next workshops will be conducted by the King of Talk Boy Abunda; fashion director and founder of the pioneer events company Saga, Robby Carmona; and stylist to the stars Pam Quinones.
Empire Studios is at Uptown Mall in BGC.
Lady seeks celebrities?
Lady Datin Lourdes Stutely, charter president of Soroptomist International (SI) of Bagong Paranaque, plans to ask help from celebrities to help promote women empowerment, especially in Paranaque.
Two stars that she is eyeing are former Paranaque Councilor Alma Moreno and Sandy Andolong, both from the city.
“Councilor Moreno can epitomize women empowerment dahil open secret naman ang lahat ng kanyang pinagdaanan, mapa-personal man or sa kanyang career sa showbiz and sa politics. Siguradong matutulungan niya kami to inspire women na magkaroon ng malaking role sa society.
“Ms. Andolong is a woman of substance and a Christian. She is a good example of a responsible mother who can effectively juggle her time between roles,” said Lady Datin.
Members of SI Bagong Paranaque were present to support Paranaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez when he was sworn in for his third term as Paranaque Mayor. The club has also adopted the city’s Barangay San Martin de Porres under barangay captain Atty Mithor Singson.
“SI members will soon conduct the ‘Dream It Be It’ seminar on career planning, setting and achieving goals; then the ‘Live Your Dream’ program to give young women the needed resources to improve their education, skills and job prospects,” she said.
