Soon-to-be licensed pilot Ronnie Liang was in Guam recently to attend the celebration of 121st anniversary of Philippine Independence.
The singer-actor came upon invitation of the Filipino Community of Guam (FCG).
“I’m so happy I was able to meet the Filipino community there. They were very welcoming. Dapat bigyan din natin sila ng pagpapahalaga,” he said.
“Tuwang-tuwa sila na nandun ako. Masaya na sila kapag may mga kababayan tayo na artist like me na pumupunta doon. Mas lalo pa akong natuwa dahil they are updated. They were asking me about my pilot course, my new songs, my upcoming collab with Sarah Geronimo. ”
Ronnie added Guam and the Philippines have historical and cultural connection that remain strong. While there, he was able to talk to Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin and Philippine Consul General Marciano De Borja.
The busy Viva artist’s latest song “Ligaya” from “12” topped Barangay LS’ (GMA Network’s FM station) most requested songs chart. The music video is one of the most viewed music videos there is on YouTube.
His latest song “ Yakap” is at number 9.
“Very grateful that people still enjoy my music. I sing naman talaga for my audience. I want them to feel the message. I’ve been doing this for 12 years, and I am just thankful to all the people who have shown support,” Ronnie shared.
He is excited about his upcoming concert in November with a big star in the music industry. The concert serves as Ronnie’s 12th anniversary celebration.
“I’m so excited to perform sa concert ko. All my fans are so excited. Makikita nila yung Ronnie Liang through out the years sa concert na ito. I wanna share my music sa lahat ng taong sumuporta sakin. Bukod sa family and fans ko, wanna show my gratitude rin sa Viva, kila Boss Vic.”
Aside from singing, he is still into acting. He has an upcoming movie under Viva Films where he plays a supporting role. His last film was “Maria,” now available on Netflix.
He has an ongoing series, “Ghost Adventures,” airing via Sari-Sari Channel on Cignal TV; and an upcoming digital collaboration and concert with Sarah Geronimo.
Last October 2018, he kicked off his flying career by taking a pilot course. His photo clad in pilot school uniform during a day of flying went viral last March. Because of that post, he was approached by Aviation Marketing Solutions to become an endorser.
