Some 30 candidates from around the world will compete at the inaugural Noble Queen of the Universe which is scheduled to be held at the Manila Hotel on December 1.
This was announced during the launch of the international beauty pageant at Vu’s Bar in Pasig City last Sunday.
Organizers said that one of the objectives of the pageant is to help other foundations such as the Lupus Foundation and foundations that help those with disabilities.
Five professionals from different industries who have been actively working for their own advocacy and charitable works are involved in the new pageant.
Members of the board of directors are Eriline Noche Tumali, banker and entrepreneur; Dursula Ito, professor and dental aesthetician; Lovely Regine Gervacio Tajan, beauty queen and registered nurse; Emarie Tabernilla Atienza, executive assistant and professional singer; and lawyer Francisco S. Cabochan.
“This pageant will empower women to initiate change in society through collaboration and friendship,” organizers said.
Asked who will be the Philippine representative to the international competition, one of the organizers said: “She will be presented in a separate press conference.”
The pageant which carries the tagline respect, envisions to establish a compassionate society and to create opportunities for ladies to promote their noble culture to a global audience while celebrating their uniqueness, talent, and beauty.
“For all the sacrifices that women have done, they need respect. In addition, the pageant wants women to make positive changes in their lives and to appreciate their unique qualities so that they can live their own lives with a purpose,” organizers said.
