As donations continue to pour in for the victims of Typhoon “Rolly” in the Bicol region, one box stood out as it reflected the spirit of bayanihan with a parcel labeled, “To: Victims of Typhoon Rolly, From: Victims of Taal Volcano.”

The photo of the box was posted on Facebook last weekend by Psalm David Preña of “Task Force: Tabang sa mga Tugang,” a group of young professionals from the 3rd district of Albay whose objective is to aid the least-reached areas in their community.

Preña told Manila Bulletin that the box was sent from Batangas through Navarra Nation Philippines.

“It’s true that those who can empathize with survivors are those who also managed to survive themselves. And that is what the resilient oragon is – a SURVIVOR,” Preña wrote in his post. “And just like how you helped us today, this is a promise that we will help others as well in the future. From one survivor to another.”
