Roger Pogoy scored a career-high 45 points while Jayson Castro made the last five as TNT outlasted Alaska 100-95 Sunday night to officially resume the PBA Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

Pogoy fired 10 threes before Castro came through with key baskets down the stretch to give the Tropang Giga the victory in the first game since the COVID-19 pandemic forced the PBA to suspend its games last March.

TNT won despite losing Poy Erram to ejection late in the third quarter. Erram had four points, eight rebounds and six assists in his Tropang Giga debut.
