Huawei Philippines proudly announced that it hit an overwhelming amount of P650,000,000 worth of P30 series on the same day when the company officially introduced to the country its latest smartphone offerings, along with the MateBook 13” laptop and the wearable Watch GT.
At the event spearheaded by Huawei Philippines Consumer Business Group Country Manager George Li in SM Megamall last Saturday, the company launched the three members of the P30 series, namely the P30 Lite, P30, and the flagship P30 Pro.
Huawei’s new smartphone follows the footsteps of the successful P20 series which helped the company surpass a global smartphone shipment of 206 million units in 2018. This augments Huawei’s global non-smartphone shipment of more than 100 million units during the same year.
Li explained that the company aims to introduce an ecosystem to its consumers, that’s why Huawei is also bringing the MateBook 13” laptop and the Watch GT to the country. Li also added that Huawei is committed to protecting consumer data and privacy by adhering to the most strict global standards.
Apart from executives and representatives, the occasion was graced by Huawei brand ambassador Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and photographers Paul Quiambao and Shaira Luna who demonstrated the photographic prowess of the P30 series, particularly the P30 Pro.
Amplifying the excitement brought about by the arrival of the new smartphones in the Philippines, Globe Telecom staged a separate event at the Globe Iconic BHS Amphitheater in BGC, announcing the campaign partnership for the Huawei P30 series.
Titled Brave Creators, Globe’s event gave the general public an opportunity to actually experience the various imaging capabilities of the phones through different booths, targeting today’s generation of young content creators.
Putting emphasis on this objective, Globe is launching a video titled Reframed featuring Ryan Villamael, Kim Jones, and Mikhail Red who will serve as influencers for the telco’s promotion of the Huawei P30 in the Philippines. The clips used in the video were shot using the Huawei P30 Pro.
In the Philippines, the Huawei P30 series smartphones are priced as follows: P30 Pro for P50,990, P30 for P36,990, and P30 Lite for P16,990. The Huawei MateBook 13″ laptop is available in two variants according to the processor: Intel Core i5 for P55,990 and Intel Core i7 for P69,990. Meanwhile, the wearable Huawei Watch GT sells for P12,990.
