Technological Institute of the Philippines goes for its second straight win and the early lead in Group A when it takes on debuting Hyperwash in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Engineers battle the Vipers at 5:30 p.m. as they look to build on their 108-81 thrashing of the McDavid-La Salle Araneta Stallions last Thursday at Paco Arena in Manila.

Coach Potit de Vera will bank on Senegalese center Papi Ndiaye, Brian Santos and Ivan Santos in TIP’s bid to spoil the start of Hyperwash’s initial foray in the developmental tournament.

Hyperwash, coached by Joel Palapal, will be led by former PBA cagers Jeric Fortuna and Ryan Buenafe.

McDavid-La Salle Araneta aims to bounce back when it meets newcomer Italiano’s Home at 3:30 p.m. with Nigerian center Henry Iloka out to lead the charge.

New teams Hazchem and Nailtalk also make their debuts in the opener slated 1:30 p.m.
