“Sean Anthony and Sol Mercado might not play but Paolo Taha is ready to suit up,” added Jarencio.

The Fuel Masters and Alaska, with similar records, are lurking at the eighth to the ninth spots.

“We will try our best to win our last game [in the elimination] against NLEX to secure at least the eighth spot in the quarterfinals,” said Phoenix coach Louie Alas.

Phoenix lost to San Miguel Beer 108-128 on Wednesday.

Import Richard Howell and Matthew Wright are expected to step up for the Fuel Masters in the crucial game.
