Makati pulled off a solid two-way performance in the middle two quarters to beat Pasay, 75-65, in the Metro League U17 Division at the STRIKE Gymnasium on Saturday.

After giving up a 17-16 Pasay lead in the first quarter, Makati held its opponent to just five points in the second quarter before erupting for 32 third-quarter points to set up the rout.

Pasay still tried to make a comeback but could come to within nine.

Jericho Mateto made 25 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks, and one steal for Makati, which moved up to 3-1.

Kurt Sienes erupted for 27 markers, five boards, three dimes, and two swipes for Pasay, which fell to 2-2.
