Las Piñas survived a second-half push from Parañaque to come away with a 64-63 win in the Metro League U17 Division at the STRIKE Gymnasium on Saturday.

Up by as much as 23 in the first half, the Junior Home Defenders bungled their huge lead late in the game but were able to hold on after Jericho Montero’s go-ahead layup with 46 seconds left.

Jericho Reyes made 19 points, two rebounds, eight assists, and one steal for Las Piñas, which moved up to third place in the Southern Division at 3-2.

Arwen Marcaida put up 19 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and two blocks for Parañaque, which fell to 0-4.
