Future NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant is keeping himself busy conquering the non-basketball world after retiring from the league in 2016.
Bryant’s multimedia company, Granity Studios, is set to release two new young adult novels this year.
“Legacy and the Queen” will be out on September 3. The novel is about an underdog female tennis prodigy who has to save the magical kingdom of Nova using her talents.
According to a release, it is a ‘powerful’ coming-of-age tale and ‘enchanting’ sports fantasy about finding your ‘inner magic’.
Both stories were created by Bryant himself.
“The third book, Epoca: The Tree of Ecof”, is a tale of two children from opposite sides of the tracks who will form an ‘unexpected bond’ to defeat evil, comes out two months after the second book.
The first book Bryant has created is “The Wizenard Series: Training Camp” easily became a New York Times bestseller.
In 2018, Mamba took home an Oscar after “Dear Basketball”, a six-minute film he produced based on a poem he wrote won the Best Animated Short Film.
Since retirement, the five-time NBA champion has already launched a sports academy in Los Angeles called “The Mamba Sports Academy” and “Art of Sport” a body care line that specializes in products like deodorant, sopa, body wash, and sunscreen.
