PBA star Paul Lee has all the reasons to feel sentimental as his daughter Tokyo just turned two years old today (Thursday).

Some 95 kilometers away from Manila, the Magnolia guard, together with other players, are holed up in Clark, Pampanga for the continuation of the PBA in the bubble.

But thanks to his beloved wife Rubie, and the power of technology, all seems to be well for Tokyo’s long-distance birthday celebration.

Happiest 2nd Birthday to my baby girl Tokyo! This one is tough for me 🥺 I just wanna say sorry to you because daddy wasn’t there to celebrate with you 🥺 Alam ko na hindi mo pa naiintindihan lahat ngayon, pero this is for you and your future ❤️ Ang wish ko lang sayo is lumaki kang healthy and masayahing bata 🙏🏾❤️ Promise pag uwi ni daddy sa bahay babawi ako sayo ng bigtime 🤞🏾❤️ Just enjoy your day baby, and I know na magiging happy ka sa ginawa ng mommy mo 😍 (That’s for sure!) Huge s/o to the wife for everything 🥺🙌🏾❤️ Again happy happy birthday baby! Daddy loves you so much 😘😘😘 See you soon ❤️❤️❤️

“Alam ko na hindi mo pa naiintindihan lahat ngayon, pero this is for you and your future,” wrote Lee on his Instagram greeting Thursday.

The 31-year-old Lee also expressed gratitude to Rubie, who prepared a mini party for Tokyo as shown on her recent vlog.

In the vlog, Rubie showed behind-the-scenes footage for Tokyo’s celebration, pumping colorful balloons and decorating a fancy backdrop for the birthday girl.

“Sabihin ko na lang na gift ni Paul lahat to kay Tokyo, para maalala ni Tokyo ‘yung daddy niya,” said Rubie at one point while wrapping the gifts.

Lee responded via Instagram story: Miss you Mommy & Tokyo! Very proud of you Mommy! Me and Tokyo are super blessed to have you.

In a separate Instagram post, the proud dad showed some love for her two-year-old daughter by wearing a pair of customized Nike shoes for practice.
Written on the shoes’ inner tongue are the words “Tokyo” and “Lee.”

PBA players just started their bubble life last week and will stay at their temporary home in Quest Hotel for more than two months.

This is just one of the few sacrifices players have to put at stake as professionals. And in the long run, they do this for the love of the game and for their family.
