At least 300 fans of actress Sarah Geronimo joined the flash mob that danced the viral song “Tala” on Saturday afternoon at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, in an event aimed at raising funds for residents affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano.

Barrie Juanico, president of the group called “Popsters,” said they decided to organize the activity “to make the song ‘Tala’ more meaningful through helping those affected” by the Taal unrest in Batangas.

“Kaya naisip namin ‘yung [title]: ‘Tala para sa Taal,’” he said.

According to Juanico, they were able to raise at least P60,000 from those who registered online and paid P100 per head as a registration fee for joining the activity.

“Nakatulong na sila, nakapag-Tala pa,” he added.

Juanico also bared that the funds raised will be for Taal relief and rehabilitation thru the Philippine Red Cross, and “assured that all the money gotten would go” to the said organization.

‘Tala’ is a song by actress Sarah Geronimo, which has recently become very popular.
