No runways and taxiways of the Ninony Aquino International Airport were damaged by the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Central Luzon Monday afternoon.
The report from the NAIA showed that all terminal facilities are still functioning and there are no reports of downtime.
MIAA GM Ed Monreal informed airline passengers that it is business as usual at the NAIA as its runways are still safe for landing and take-off.
Inspection of possible effects of the earthquake to the airport structures is ongoing with no findings initially reported. (Ariel Fernandez)
