Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has extended financial and food assistance to victims of Typhoon “Ulysses” in Cagayan and Marikina City.
In a Facebook post Monday (Nov. 16), Domagoso said he gave Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba P2 million for his relief efforts.
The Manila City Council is also raising funds to help those affected in the Cagayan Valley region, the Manila mayor said.
On Friday (Nov 13), the Manila LGU sent a thousand food boxes to typhoon victims in Marikina City who were severely affected by typhoon “Ulysses”.
The food boxes, 5,000 water bottles and four boxes of medicine were delivered by the Manila Department of Public Services.
“Kapit lang po tayo at patuloy na magdasal upang malampasan natin ang anumang unos o kalamidad (Let us hold on and continue to pray so we can overcome whatever disaster and calamity),” Mayor Isko said in his post.
“Asahan n’yo pong kasama ninyo ang bawat Batang Maynila na handang tumulong at umagapay sa inyong pagbangon (Be rest assured that each Manileño is with you and ready to help you as you start anew),” he added.
