Each policeman and non-uniformed employee of the Manila Police District (MPD) will receive at least P30,000, the Mayor said. There are around 3,223 police personnel in Manila.

Moriones Police Station received the highest allocation of P10.4 million while Sta. Ana Police Station the lowest allocation of P6.8 milion.

Moreno said the move is a “small way” of acknowledging police efforts in fighting against criminality and maintaining peace and order in Manila.

According to Special Mayor’s Reaction Team chief Major Jhun Ibay, the sum covers the allowances of the MPD policemen for the period January to December 2019, because the policemen have not yet received their allowances for January to June 2019.
