Health workers from Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC) in Tondo, Manila received free influenza shots from the Manila Health Department (MHD) on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso thanked the MHD for taking initiative in ensuring the safety of the city’s frontline health workers as they continue to battle the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19).

Domagoso also assured health workers that they will continue to implement projects to protect them amid the COVID-19 crisis.

“Makaasa po kayong patuloy na sisiguruhin ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ang kaligtasan ng ating mga healthcare workers sa maliliit nating mga kaparaanan (You can rest assured that the city government will continue to ensure the safety of our healthcare workers in our own little way),” his post read.

“Sila po ay aalagaan natin tulad ng pagtitiyak nila sa ating kaligtasan laban sa banta ng COVID-19 at iba pang mga sakit (We will take care of them in the same that they are ensuring our safety from the threat of COVID-19 and other illnesses),” he added.
