All roads will lead to the PhotoWorld Asia 2020, the biggest photography event in Asia, which will be held on January 30 to February 4 at the Glorietta, Ayala Center in Makati City. Organized by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF), this year’s theme will focus on “Travel and Lifestyle.”
The invited local and international speakers will share unselfishly their secret techniques among the participants to the annual photography conference from January 31 to February 2 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati. They will focus their talks on this specific theme.
Speakers lined up for the conference include: Alex Ruelo – Hybrid Photography; Edwin Suson – Jumpstart Your Financial Future; Betty Lalana – The Wild Side of Animal Photography; Amos Manlangit – Peeking Into the Arts of the Future; Gaurav Chadha – Monetize Your Photography Through Photography; Pepe Diokno – Videography; Sara Black – Fashion Photography; Dalareich Polot – Social Entrepreneurship; Stuart Dee – Creative Travel Photography; Chris Magsino – Finding Your Passion in Photography; Mike Sia – Wedding and Lifestyle; Rey Sta. Ana – Bird Photography; Dariel and Cathy Quiogue – Seeking Zen; and Edwin Tuyay – My Life After Photojournalism.
Engr. James Singlador of Samahang Litratista ng Rizal (SLR) camera club, PWA 2020 chairman, said that this year’s conference will give participants a diverse opportunity to learn not only about travel and lifestyle but also an assortment of topics to develop their skills and personality including fashion, bird, creative thinking, wedding, finance, among others.
Another highlight for this annual event is a photography trade show to be held at the Glorietta, Ayala Center in Makati City, which will run from January 30 to February 4, free and open to the public. This will showcase the latest trends and products in the industry, participated in by major camera manufacturers and photography suppliers, offering discounts and other promos.
A grand photography exhibition of the members of the photo clubs affiliated with FPPF will also be displayed at the Glorietta.
Eduviges Huang, FPPF chairman, said that the PWA 2020 is the 34th edition of the yearly activity and the longest-running photography event across Asia. Staging this yearly event is one way of promoting the art of photography, keeping abreast with the trends and updates in the industry.
