Over 2,500 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) are affected by the onslaught of Typhoon “Ulysses” in Region 2, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
In a situation update posted on Facebook, the DSWD said that 2,508 individuals, comprised of 785 families, have been affected by the strong rains, winds, and flooding caused by Typhoon “Ulysses.” These families come from eight municipalities and 31 barangays.
From that number, 315 families or 992 individuals are being kept safe inside evacuation centers, while 443 families or 1,478 individuals are outside evacuation centers.
In order to meet their needs during this difficult time, the DSWD Regional Office 2 has prepared 26,205 Family Food Packs (FFPs) amounting to P13.347 million. These are already available for augmentation support and distribution.
