Social media went crazy with this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring two Latina divas, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. With all the hip-swaying music and fiery dancing, the singers brought glamour through their skin-baring and lit performance looks, turning the halftime show stage into a runway of sexy fashion moments. Here’s the rundown of what they wore at the Hard Rock Stadium in sunny Miami, Florida.
The “She Wolf” singer brought her Latina flair onstage with three outfit changes from Norwegian designer Peter Dundas. She kicked off the show wearing a custom-made beaded and fringed ensemble that channeled the singer’s inner warrior. The Swarovski-covered piece was matched with a pair of red crystal boots by artist Daniel Jacob (Dan Life), which cost $20,000 and took 10 days to finish.
For her second look, she wore a feathered and fringe skirt hidden under a sarong. For her final look, she donned a gold fringe body suit with a bomber jacket showcasing a panther insignia. Shakira completed the last look with a pair of gold Adidas sneakers.
The diva from the Bronx, New York was on the top of her game, bringing her sultriness on stage with a total of five looks by Versace. JLo’s look number one was a large satin pink skirt with a gold-studded black leather top inspired by motorcycle jackets.
She took off the skirt, revealing the entire leather bodysuit with thigh-high boots. In an online post, Versace detailed that the piece the house designed for the singer was made of quality leather, Swarovski crystals, and the classic Medusa accents, which took 900 hours to finish.
JLo then opted for a sparkling sheer bodysuit mimicking a shattered mirror. On the other hand, for her third look, the Hustler star put on a fringed and embellished top over the sheer bodysuit.
Ending her Super Bowl fashion moments, she wrapped herself with a tulle feathery flag with colors representing Puerto Rico and the US.
