It’s already 2020, but the milk tea is still “hot” and shows no signs of cooling down. It seems to be heated up even more by the increasing milk tea spots around the metro, as well as the new flavors frequently introduced in the market.
Believe it or not, fast food chain Chowking was ahead of everyone, having concocted its own milk tea in 2005, long before the hype.
Recently, Chowking debuted an upgraded version of the drink. With a creamy milk base and rich black tea, Pearl Milk Tea is described to have the “right kind of sweetness.” The pearls are methodically boiled for an hour before being mixed with the brand’s signature caramel syrup.
Pearl Milk Tea is also affordable at only ₱39 for a small cup, ₱49 for medium, and only ₱69 for a large cup.
