Next moves

In an interview right after the grand finals, Kokoi Balde, leader of Juan Gapang, said they’re not sure yet what to do with the cash prize.

Kailangang marinig ng sambayanan ang reyalidad na nangyayari sa atin through music kasi music is a weapon, the strongest weapon.”

For Jim, leader of Kenyo Street Fam, building their own rehearsal studio is paramount.

“Gusto po namin sa ngayon na magkaroon ng matino at safe na practice area,” he said.

It will benefit other dancers too.

Doon sa isang subdivision po namin is parang may batch one, batch two, may kids.

One step at a time

Kokoi said they will not roll out a full album, but singles.

Kenyo Street Fam also wants to inspire the youth.

Testing

What was the most challenging part in their “Your Moment” journey?

“Ang pinakamahirap na naranasan namin sa kompetisyon ay ito (pointing to their coach). Dumudugo ang ilong namin talaga, eh. Sus, my God, you’re getting into my nerves, coach,” Kokoi said in jest.

“Siguro ‘yung pagod at puyat.

For Jim, figuring in minor accidents while dancing is part of a dancer’s life.
