Wait is over for fans now that it’s confirmed the 20-year-old Chinese actor Dylan Wang is coming to Manila.
The news came from a local clothing company that made the announcement via a teaser video showing a three-second behind-the-scenes clip of Dylan at a photo shoot.
“That’s right, pineapple-heads! Dylan Wang is coming to MANILA!! AHHH! We hear all the noise you’re making. Give the boy some (love)s and we’ll give you all the juicy deets — ready, set, GO! It was November last year when talks about his visit to the Philippines started circulating online after prominent Chinese-Filipino entrepreneur Ben Chan followed the Chinese actor’s Instagram account.

On Instagram, the Bench founder revealed details about the meet and great.
“It’s the moment we’ve all been WAITING for! HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ⚡️ Dylan will see you guys at the Araneta Coliseum on JULY 20, 2019. Swipe through for all the deets (read carefully)! This runs from July 5 to July 7 ONLY, so get ready and get going! #DylanWangforBENCH #Globalbenchsetter,” he shared.
Dylan rose to fame after bagging the titular role of Dao Ming Si in the well-loved 2001 Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden,” along with rising actress Shen Yue who played Shan Cai.
“Meteor Garden” was aired in the Philippines by ABS-CBN with Tagalog dubbing.
This is not the first time the clothing company has invited an international star to come over. Previously before Dylan were to Jerry Yan, who starred in the original “Meteor Garden;” and Lee Min Ho, who top-billed “Boys Over Flowers” – the Korean version of the “Meteor Garden” series.
Some of their other international endorser were Super Junior’s Dong Hae and Si Won, Chinese-American VJ Nonie Tao, half-Filipino R&B crooner Bruno Mars, “American Idol” runners-up David Archuleta and half-Pinay singer Jessica Sanchez, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, and Australian actor Liam Hemsworth.
