All’s not well after the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 beauty pageant held at the Baguio Country Club on Sunday, October 25.

Miss Taguig Sandra Lemonon appeared not satisfied with the results of the competition where Miss Iloilo Rabiya Mateo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020 when she shared negative posts on social media. She finished in the top 16 of the competition.

Lemonon uploaded a cryptic message which read: “Get ready loves, tomorrow I will be announcing big news, it’s time to be honest and speak facts.”

Later she added: “The truth always comes out, It’s just about timing Karma is real soon, Because we deserve justice.”

Her other post read: “Open communication should start in household.”

Hours later, Shamcey Supsup-Lee, national director of Miss Universe Philippines, issued a statement: “To bear defeat with dignity, to accept criticism with poise, to receive honors with humility – these are the marks of a true queen.”

Pageant fans believe that Shamcey was aiming at Lemonon with her comment.

Lemonon reacted: “Get your tea. Accepting defeat graciously is one of the many marks of being a beauty queen. But what you forgot to say is that real queens play fair don’t cheat.”

Finally, Lemonon made a revelation on social media: “So here’s the truth … May gumamit po ng Packaging Tape sa Swimsuit Competition.”

Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa has called on other girls to accept defeat.

“BBP2012 taught me my greatest pageant lesson in life. A true queen is someone who can accept defeat and rise above it. A crown doesn’t define us, we define it. This is not the end but only the beginning for our #MissUniversePhilippines girls. Congratulations everyone,” said Lastimosa.
