PBA players see no problem taking part in whatever bubble the league will adopt for the possible restart of the season next month.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said player representatives from all 12 teams gave their full commitment to participate in the bubble that will likely last for two months amid the health risks brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marcial said the players prefer to play under an NBA-style bubble or a semi-bubble formula that will limit the movement of every participant to the hotel and playing venue.

“Lahat sila willing maglaro sa NBA type bubble or semi-bubble. Ayaw nila ng closed-circuit. They requested to do away with it,” Marcial said, adding that the players also asked about the accommodations and amenities.

He will forward the matters discussed during Thursday’s Board of Governors meeting where arrangements for the restart are set to be finalized.

Three venues are being eyed to host the season resumption which could start on Oct. 9, depending if the Inter-Agency Task Force will allow PBA games to push through.

The board will also decide on the type of bubble that will observe in the event the season resumes.
