Several Pinoy actors gathered once more to offer Mass and banquet on the 40th day after veteran actor Eddie Garcia’s passing.
Recall that the 90-year-old producer-director was shooting a series when he got into an accident on the set which landed him in the hospital before demise.

The Mass was headed by the late artist’s partner of three decades, interior designer Lilibeth Romero.
Eddie’s colleagues from different networks graced the affair, like Mother Lily Monteverde, Susan Roces, Laurice Guillen, Edgar Mortiz, Boots Anson-Roa, Robin Padilla, Phillip Salvador, and Efren Reyes Jr., and Amy Austria, to name a few. Tirso Cruz III and Ricky Davao sang classical songs as tribute to the actor. GMA executives GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Senior Vice President and Entertainment Group Head Lilybeth Rasonable, and GMA Entertainment TV Vice President for Drama Redgie Magno also showed support.
Lilibeth’s son, party-list Rep. Mikee Romero, said they’re planning to donate some of Eddie’s things to a museum. He also hopes the bill he submitted that is for “creating an occupational safety and health standards act (OSHA) for the film, television, and theater industry of the Philippines, otherwise known as the “Eddie Garcia Act” and for other purposes” will be approved soon.
