Days after she clinched the Binibining Pilipinas-International 2019 crown, Bea Patricia Magtanong enjoys another achievement by becoming a lawyer.
The beauty queen was among the 1,800 bar passers of 2018 who took their pledge in an oath-taking ceremony at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Thursday.
Magtanong was accompanied by her family at the ceremony.
In 2014, the 24-year-old Bataan native graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman.
Four years after, she graduated from the UP College of Law, following in the footsteps of her father, also a lawyer.
Magtanong aims to promote the rights of prisoners, maintaining that even they have rights to humane treatment.
During the question and answer portion of Bb. Pilipinas, Magtanong was asked to name a globally influential person that she would like to meet and why.
“I really idolize Angelina Jolie because she was blessed with such a thriving career in Hollywood, but as a woman, she was able to use that influence, that voice and that audience to advocate for the causes that she believes in like world hunger with the UN. Someday, if I’ll be given the chance, I would like to be just like her,” she answered.
