Warming up for its much-awaited clash against rival Onic Philippines, two-time champion Aura Philippines pummeled also-ran Blu Fire in two games in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 6 on Saturday night.

Aura was simply overwhelming for the helpless Blu Fire as the defending champ sent a stern warning into their battle against perennial rival Onic in the regular season-ending match on Sunday.

“Sa mga fans ng Aura at Onic, siguraduhin nyong panonoorin nyo ang game namin bukas kasi sure akong kami ang mananalo doon. Bibigyan namin kayo ng magandang laban,” said the birthday boy Allen Jedric “Greed_” Baloy, an ex-Onic player.

Aura returned to the No. 1 spot in Group A with 24 points, but the top seed remained uncertain with fellow contenders Blacklist International and Execration also having their matches tomorrow.

The Michael Angelo “Arcadia” Bocado-coached squad also jumped back to the winning track after its shocking 0-2 loss to Nexplay Solid last week.

Greed’s Selena was all over the map to set up numerous pick-offs as Aura broke free from a tight early game.

A comfortable 16-5 lead and a successful Lord take spearheaded by Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz’s well-farmed Yi Sun-shin turned into a 17-5 spree for Aura in just 11 minutes.

Jaypee was able to get his core items of Endless Battle, Blade of Despair and Queen’s Wings to unload 73,000 damage and finish with a 7-1-7 kill-death-assist record.

Greed once again stepped up on his Selena in Game 2 as he got a triple kill in Aura’s deep dive at the bottom lane in the eighth minute.

He then assassinated Shemiah Daniel “Chuuu” Chu’s Helcurt through an Abyssal Arrow paired with flashy moves before Aura took advantage of that pickoff to wipe out Blu Fire en route to a 22-8 victory in nearly 14 minutes.

Aura also banked on the deadly duo of Jaypee’s Roger and Renzio “Renzio” Cadua’s Angela.

Blu Fire exited the tournament with only two points to show.

Earlier in the first match, child prodigy Salic “Hadjizy” Imam went ham with his Roger to fuel Smart Omega’s swift sweep of eliminated BSB.

Hadjizy put up perfect records of 13-0-4 kills-deaths-assists in a 27-8 triumph in Game 1 and 19-0-3 in a 28-8 win in Game 2.

Omega sealed the second seed in Group B with 25 points and is set to take on the third seed in Group A in the single elimination playoffs.
