Thirty-two gentlemen were presented to the media as official candidates for the 2019 Mister Grand Philippines pageant during a special show in Manila Tuesday afternoon.

This year’s official candidates are: Jeparson Mangaoang, McCharles Caguitla, Brando Buquid, Jan Andre Suico, Ralph Manalo, Gerard Bonanza, Christian Villarin, Edviro Fuentes, Kristoffer Kelly Mendoza, Paulo Laroza, Rambo Danas, Ronald Malolos, Rejee Manatad, Taipan Paule, Darwis Ismaelli, Dan Basconcillo, Ledge Sales, Paolo Gallardo, Jan Marben Segui, Paul Morales, Yves Tan, Martin Sardina, Victor Alvaran, Jan Moises Alarcon, Sam Jasmin, Michael Ver Comaling, Jelo Guevarra, Jastine Dalampasig, Chelzon Saplan, John Cesar Villar, John David Schon, and Ken Carpena.

Up for grabs are six international titles and four runners-up during the finals which will be held at the Convenarium of Crossroads Center in Quezon City on Sept. 19.

The titles and the respective venues of pageants are: Mister Grand International 2019, the winner will represent the Philippines in Myanmar in November; Mister Prime Universe International 2020, Manila, Philippines, March 2020; Mister Tourism Globe International 2019, Legaspi, Albay, Sept 2019; Mister Icon World 2019, Mumbai, India, Nov. 2019; Global Man International 2019, Kota Kinabalu, Dec. 2019; and Men International 2020, Jakarta, Indonesia, Feb. 2020.

The six titleholders will receive a cash prize, modeling and management contracts from Megamodels, and all-expenses-paid travel and accommodation as they represent the country in international competitions.

Meg Perez, CEO and President of Megamodels Events and Talent Management and national director of Mister Grand Philippines contest, assured the winners that they will get their cash prizes.

“It’s unfortunate that some winners of national pageants do not receive their cash prizes even until the end of their reign. But in MGP, I want to assure the winners that they will get their cash prizes,” said Perez, during the open forum.

At the press presentation, three candidates were chosen as media’s choices.

They were Paolo Gallardo of Ilocos Region; Victor Alvaran III, Dagupan; and Darwis Ismaelli, Cagayan Valley.

Activities of the candidates from Sept. 11 to 17 include resorts and swimwear competition at Manila Villa Gloria in Ilocos Sur; team building in Pansol, Laguna; festival costume and talent competition at the Sta. Lucia Mall, Marikina City.
